🍑 Cookies – Georgia Pie
Berner has come to 🍁! The iconic California brand has teamed up with Noya. Adding to the Cali hype is breeding by Seed Junky. And after we got it in-store and I saw the 28% THC count coupled with 3.8% terps I had to grab it. The only other strain that comes to mind, regularly posting similar numbers, is Carmel’s Animal Face, and that made it a province-wide favourite.
To start that 👃🏽 and 👅. Bright fruit vibes, harkening back to its backcrossed Mimosa genetics, combined with that sweet doughy goodness from the GSC on both sides of its lineage. Georgia Pie’s name references peach cobbler. Top notes are bright with a tropical sweetness, and couple with a ⛽/ peppermint bite on the inhale. While underneath the deeper, creamier, but no less sweet notes of mornings in a bakery linger with the exhale. With all of this coming through strong because of that 3.8% terp count
The rest of the bag appeal was just as amazing. My HQ was split into four nugs, including a large guy about 2g. All perfectly trimmed with heavy gilding of trichs. The density was notable, at first making me think I had been shorted. But squeeze a nug and you’ll notice it’s rock hard. Do not squeeze too hard though as the heavy terps have been well preserved in the nitro packed pouch, and just putting nugs in the grinder will leave your fingertips all ooey gooey
The actual high here is a creeper and one of those that are dangerous. I was smoking bowl after bowl since it’s so delicious with a very smooth cure, forgetting it tests at 28%. However, unlike most buds like this, there was no BAM. It gently slipped me into a very even high, providing both a heavy buzzing at the front of my forehead along with body relaxation. It was great after work, but I’m looking forward to going hiking with it this long weekend 🦃. The overall intensity was strong but did not feel like the full 28%. The selling point behind this one is really how smokable it is, making not only the high but the actual act of smoking a luxury experience
Berner, please hire me as a flavour tester, I think we have similar priorities in our flower. If not, just make sure it does not leave Ontario! 🍑🥧👑🥧🍑
